A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of junk email messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a cloud web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet exceptionally easy to use, and it will enable you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated with ease if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a mini sign conveniently located right next to each of them. With only a single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the menu that will come into view. If any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
